BRATTLEBORO, Vt.Sendara, a nutraceutical ingredient developed to combat the internal and external causes of skin aging, was launched by NutraGenesis, a product development company.  The ingredients is a combination of two multi-patented Ayurvedic extracts: Indian Gooseberry (Amla) and Ashwagandha.

According to the company, in vivo and in vitro studies have shown that the proprietary formula can boost resistance to premature aging by preventing free radical damage to the dermal extracellular matrix and reducing stress-related hormone levels. The company added the product carries substantiated structure/function claims for anti-aging, stress reduction, sun protection and inflammatory response, and possesses a multi-mechanism antioxidant action.

The skin-enhancing ingredient was developed specifically for the cosmeceutical category and is backed with a turn-key product support program, including regulatory expertise and application and formulation services. We are very excited about the possibilities for Sendara given the burgeoning beauty-from-within market, said Suzanne McNeary, president, NutraGenesis. Sendara possesses the regulatory and scientific substantiation required to dominate todays demanding marketplace.
