S. HACKENSACK, N.J.—Naturex (www.naturex.com) introduced a line of extracts from plants found in Morocco that have been traditionally used for health benefits but rarely used in the dietary supplement category. New offerings include: Strapwort (Corrigiola telephiifolia), a small branched annual used for antiseptic properties; Red sandspurry (Spergularia rubra), an annual used as a diuretic and sedative; Spanish pellitory (Anacyclus pyrethrum), a perennial herb used for rheumatism; Fumitory (Fumaria officinalis), an annual used for skin problems and as a detoxifier; and many more.
