National Starch Promotes Hi-maize® 5-in-1 Fiber Benefits
BRIDGEWATER, N.J.--National Starch Food Innovation (www.5-in-1-fiber.com) is conducting a brochure campaign to publicize five health benefits of its natural resistant starch ingredient Hi-maize® 5-in-1 Fiber.
The five benefits include weight management, glycemic management, energy management, digestive health and high tolerance, according to the company, and are backed by more than 120 published studies conducted over the last 15 years.
The ingredient also has benefits in processing and manufacturing; the company said Hi-maize holds less water than other insoluble fibers, resulting in easier ingredient mixing and higher productivity, and can easily be incorporated into foods without impacting taste or texture, allowing manufacturers to increase fiber content of finished products without altering flavors and textures.
