GREENVILLE, S.C.—Capsugel released the CFS1200, an improved version of its laboratory-scale capsule filling and sealing system. The machine offers R&D laboratories the ability to use Capsugel’s patented LEMS (Liquid Encapsulation Micro-Spray) technology, employing a unique micro-dosing technology that offers automated capsule filling and sealing for preparation of early stage clinical trial supplies. According to Capsugel (www.capsugel.com), the CFS1200 helps accelerate product development and allows formulation scientists the ability to exploit the potential of lipid-based or poorly-soluble compounds.
