New Divisions at ONPLDS

BETHESDA, Md.--Effective Feb. 2, the Center forFood Safety and Nutrition (CFSAN) realigned the Office of Nutritional Products,Labeling and Dietary Supplements (ONPLDS). The office is organized by productcategories now to better align and coordinate staff activities.

ONPLDS will still be headed by Christine Taylor, with VirginiaWilkening as deputy director. The office has four new divisions and new staffmembers: Susan Walker is temporarily heading the Division of Dietary SupplementPrograms; Kathy Ellwood is temporarily in charge of the Division of NutritionPrograms and Labeling; Felicia Satchell is temporarily overseeing the Divisionof Food Labeling and Standards; Jeanne Rader is temporarily head of the Divisionof Research and Applied Technology; and Charles Mize is temporarily at the helmof the Infant Formula and Medical Foods Staff.

ONPLDS will continue to support enforcement actions and conductclinical review and summary of adverse event data associated with dietarysupplements and infant formula.
