John Valentine Dies

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.--John C. Valentine III, head of production at Valentine Enterprises Inc. (VEI), died Sept. 10 at the age of 47 of pancreatic cancer. His wife was by his side.

Besides being in charge of production at VEI for the last 18 years, Valentine also served as an assistant scoutmaster of Troop 419, Boy Scouts of America, where he earned the Wood Badge. He also coached for the West Gwinnett Soccer Association.

He is survived by wife Janemarie Barry, their five children, and his parents and two siblings. "He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him," said Eric Barber, national sales manager at VEI, a contract and private manufacturer of powdered supplements.
