DEFIANCE, Ohio—SensoryEffects acquired the Sleepy Eye, Minn., manufacturing facility of Anderson Custom Processing, which includes two spray dryers and other blending equipment and technology. This site will be integrated into the SensoryEffects Powder Systems business.

"We are looking forward to adding another spray drying facility to our business which will not only support the continued growth of our company, but will further enhance our processing capabilities for customers," said Charles A. Nicolais, president and CEO, SensoryEffects. "The Sleepy Eye site has a long and successful track record of satisfying broad processing requirements with outstanding customer service. We intend to continue to build upon these strengths and we welcome the great workforce in Sleepy Eye to our company."

The company's spray drying capabilities now include eight spray dryers that span across five production sites: Defiance, Ohio; Bridgeton, Mo.; Reading, Pa.; Marshfield, Wis.; and Sleepy Eye, Nicolais said.

Last year, SensoryEffects acquired the dairy and non-dairy creamer business of Quality Ingredients Corporation (QIC). Included in the acquisition was QIC’s Marshfield, Wis., manufacturing site, a Filtermat spray dryer, and other dry blending equipment, formulas, technology, trademarks and intellectual property.
