The Seventh NCN Ingredients & Technology Investor Meeting at SupplySide West will explore topics including clinical research, IP considerations and commercialization strategies.

Nutrition Capital Network is preparing for the NCN Ingredients & Technology Investor Meeting VII at SupplySide West. Set for Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, the meeting will kick off with a 90-minute session around ingredients and technology. The presenters will examine successful strategies for clinical research, legal and regulatory considerations as well as range of commercialization strategies to ensure a successful ingredient or technology go-to-market launch. Path to market and successful launch strategies will be examined as well as how to avoid costly common missteps. Speakers include Lauren Clardy, principal at NUTRIMARKETING; Najla Guthrie, president and CEO, KGK Synergize; Tim Avila, CEO, Systems Bioscience; and an attorney from Venable Law.
The remainder of the afternoon is designed for investor meetings, allowing companies to present in 10-minute intervals and then one-on-one meetings. Approximately 12 to 14 companies in nutritional ingredients, science, and technology will present their business plans, and after the presentations, investors and companies will have the opportunity to meet directly. Presenting companies typically include: suppliers of active nutritional ingredients for dietary supplements or functional foods; value-added suppliers of products or services related to nutrition, nutrition science, or health & wellness; and developers of technology or science related to nutrition and human or animal health. Interested companies can apply online for free; selected companies pay a presentation fee that includes business plan and presentation mentoring by NCN principals, committee members or sponsor partners. More information is available online.
