DALLASThe global frozen bakery market is growing steadily and is predicted to reach $32.5 million by 2018, representing a CAGR of 7.1%, according to a new report from MarketsandMarkets.

Currently, Europe is the largest market followed by North America  and Asia-Pacific.

The reasoning behind the increase is consumers are becoming more health-conscious causing the frozen bakery market to diversify its product portfolio.

From frozen breads and pizza crust, to pastries and cakes, the frozen market continues to thrive due to the growing consumption of frozen pizzas in the western countries. Frozen pizza crust to this day holds the largest share of the market at 32.2%, followed by frozen bread (25.5%) and frozen pastries (15.5%). Frozen cakes and pastries, especially in the North-American regions are expected to increase over the next few  years.  Although North America's market is expected to increase due to the demand of processed foods and busy lifestyles, the Asia-Pacific market is projected to grow the quickest at a rate of 7.7%.
