Boswellia Focus of New White Paper
January 12, 2011
NOBLESVILLE, Ind.Verdure Sciences released a White Paper on Boswellia serrata research, with a particular focus on human bioavailability and chemistry of WOKVEL® Extract, the Boswellia extract that preserves the natural spectrum of active Boswellia compounds.
Work just published from university labs in Japan and Germany on the chemistry of Boswellia suggests the bulk of the gum resins activity is based on more than 20 compounds. These compounds are structurally related to the triterpene boswellic acids known for their activity and benefits for joint, bone and other areas of health.
WOKVEL® Extract is a clinically researched botanical ingredient that supports joint health and flexibility. Derived from Boswellia serrata, WOKVEL® Extract is an all-natural ingredient promoting joint health. WOKVEL® is standardized to seven markers within the natural-spectrum fingerprint of boswellic acids, and is shown to be bioavailable in human trials, according to Verdure Sciences.
